Weir Type

Kim Valves offer a wide variety of premium quality weir type diaphragm valves. They provide a wide variety of body materials and linings to suit various applications ranging from concentrated acids to pure water processes. The WT diaphragm valve is moulded in a 'normally open' position to ensure maximum flow when the valve is opened 100%. Weir type diaphragm valves are capable of handling higher temperature/corrosive services due to the use of PTFE diaphragm. These diaphragms are backed up with a reinforced elastomer to withstand high temperature, corrosive and sterile applications. Unique to these diaphragms is a bayonet connection as opposed to a screwed stud connection found on the rubber diaphragms. The bayonet ensures the diaphragm seats evenly across the weir every time the valve is closed to ensure positive shut off.
Kim Valves weir types are self-draining to avoid product build-up or contamination. The longer diaphragm valve lifetime results in lower maintenance requirements. Weir type diaphragm valves are used extensively throughout many industries. In fields such as:
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Chemical Processing
  • Mining & Mineral Processing
  • Pulp & Paper
